# G09 Document, passage, and entity graph

## Question

Which part of which document describes or supports an entity or concept?

## Nodes

Document; Version; Section; Passage; Entity; Concept

## Relationship sketch

* passage → document version
* passage → mentions entity
* section → concerns concept

## Evidence inputs

Original text, offsets or section locators, content hashes, extraction method, and source rights.

## Implementation

Preserve document and section boundaries when indexing. Treat mentions as mentions, not verified assertions; keep a route from each retrieved passage back to the actual source.

## Acceptance checks

* Every passage resolves to an exact source version
* Quoted context can be reconstructed
* Mention extraction does not silently assert facts

## Do not infer

Entity mention, aboutness, evidence support, and endorsement are different relationships.

## Publication boundary

Public passages follow source rights; private corpus records remain private.
